Description
Production operatives needed on a temporary and permanent basis!
Manufacturing high quality precision metal tubes for demanding technical applications in Aerospace, Nuclear, Energy, Medical, Oil and Gas and High-Performance industries. We are looking to recruit General Production Operators, working on a 3 shift pattern of Earlies (6am – 2pm), Backs (2pm – 10pm) and Nights (10pm – 6am) Monday to Friday.
As part of the Production team, our Production Operators will be responsible for manufacturing high quality precision tubing. Key responsibilities include:
· Adherence and commitment to all Health and Safety requirements.
· Manufacturing a variety of high-quality tubing in one of our Production Cells.
· Operating overhead gantry cranes.
· Entering and recording job data into shop floor data collection terminals including electronic SPC.
· Proactive involvement in Health & Safety and 5s/ lean initiatives.
Essential Requirements:
· Experience working within an Engineering manufacturing/Mechanical environment is essential.
· Suitable candidates would have an aptitude for mechanical engineering and may have an interest in car or bike maintenance.
· 5 GCSE’s including English and Math’s (or equivalent). Grade C or above and/or ONC/HNC would be highly desirable.
· Ability to learn new skills quickly
· High level of accuracy, quality of work and attention to detail
· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and procedures accurately
· Good communication skills
· PC Literate
· Team player and able to demonstrate flexibility towards team goals
· Excellent attendance and timekeeping
· Ability to undertake shift work (preferably with previous experience) on a three-shift pattern working a rotation of Earlies (6am – 2pm), Backs (2pm – 10pm) and Nights (10pm – 6am) Monday to Friday.
· Able to work in a Manufacturing Engineering environment and wear personal protective equipment including hearing protection, gloves, hard hat, safety shoes and safety glasses
· Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol test
