This role entails a rotating 3-shift pattern (Earlies: 6 am – 2 pm, Backs: 2 pm – 10 pm, Nights: 10 pm – 6 am) from Monday to Friday.

Job Specification:
- Operate safely, identifying and addressing safety concerns, and participate in culture and performance improvement programs.

- Conduct recognized tests on specimens, reporting results promptly.
- Operate mechanical test equipment in accordance with customer and international standards.
- Prepare specimens for timely microstructural analysis, ensuring accurate data recording.
- Utilize Information Systems for report generation and communications.
- Prepare data for routine analysis, trials, and diagnostic interpretation reports.
- Utilize statistical tools and engage in team exercises to enhance laboratory and business operations.
- Mentor and coach non-technical personnel in operational performance.
- Ad-hoc overtime may be required to support seasonal business changes.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum GCSE grade 4 or equivalent in Maths and English is desirable.
- Experience in a high-throughput laboratory with a focus on meeting deadlines.
- Practical knowledge of operating analytical equipment and problem-solving skills for equipment-related issues.
- Interpersonal skills for interpreting data and communicating operational changes to reset equipment.
