Known for their commitment to quality and continuous improvement, the company is now looking to strengthen their engineering team with a Maintenance Engineer who brings strong electrical expertise and solid mechanical understanding.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on position involving a broad range of maintenance tasks, with a particular focus on electrical systems. You’ll play a key role in keeping plant machinery operating safely and efficiently, supporting both planned maintenance and reactive repair work.
What You’ll Need:

A time-served apprenticeship or relevant electrical qualifications

Mechanical knowledge and experience in a production or factory setting

Experience working with CNC machinery is desirable

IOSH certification is an advantage

Clear communication skills – you’ll work closely with engineers, production staff, and shift leaders

The ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through safely and effectively
Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including motors, panels, sensors, and control systems

Carry out planned preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and minimise downtime

Interpret technical drawings, electrical diagrams, and schematics

Safely isolate and work on electrical circuits and mechanical equipment in line with site and statutory safety procedures

Support equipment start-up and shutdown processes, including steam and water systems

Monitor machinery performance and take appropriate action when issues arise

Provide responsive, hands-on support to the wider production team as required
Qualifications Required:

Recognised electrical qualifications suitable for a maintenance engineering role (e.g. NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition)

Mechanical understanding, supported by experience or relevant certification, is preferred
Shift Pattern:

Rotating shifts: 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00, Monday to Friday
