Our respected client, a leading manufacturer located on the outskirts of Plymouth, is actively seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the upkeep of the plant, equipment, and services supporting the site’s production facilities, handling both planned and unplanned maintenance tasks.
The ideal candidate should hold a minimum of an HNC/HND or NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline. Proficiency in problem diagnosis, a demonstrated commitment to safety through task risk assessments, and effective communication skills with suppliers and on-site personnel are essential qualities.
Key responsibilities include identifying and contributing to corrective actions for recurring issues, conducting breakdown repairs on existing machinery, installing both new and existing machinery, championing and supporting TPM/PPM initiatives across the site, and maintaining electronic records of machine repairs and stock.

The position follows an alternating schedule – 0600 to 1400 and 1400 to 2200, rotating weekly. The salary is negotiable and dependent on experience.
