CNC Programmer & Setter
Location: Newton Abbot
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Wednesday: 7:00am – 5:30pm | Thursday: 7:00am – 4:30pm (39 hours/week)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
We are seeking a talented and experienced CNC Programmer & Setter to join our engineering team in Newton Abbot. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a forward-thinking company that values quality, precision, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

Program and set CNC machines for production runs.

Read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD files.

Ensure components meet tight tolerances and quality standards.

Conduct routine checks, make adjustments, and maintain machines.

Collaborate with production and quality teams to optimise workflow.
Skills & Experience Required:

Experience with CNC programming and setting.

Strong understanding of Fanuc (or similar) CNC control systems.

Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings.

Skilled in the use of manual and digital measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers, gauges).

Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.

High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Desirable:

Experience with Star or Citizen sliding head machines.

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement practices.
