Salary: £33,487.74 per annum (including 20% shift premium) or £39,069.03 per annum (including 40% night shift premium)
Shifts:
* Rotating weekly shifts, 06:00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 22:00
* Permanent Night Shift, 22:00 – 06:00


About the Role

We are recruiting for a CNC Machine Setter to join a well-established precision manufacturing business based in Plymouth. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company known for its commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Working within a structured production environment, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machinery, carrying out quality checks, and ensuring machinery performs efficiently to support production targets and high-quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate CNC machinery to required specifications.
  • Perform gauge checks and quality inspections throughout production.
  • Identify and report defects or machine issues promptly.
  • Ensure correct tooling is fitted and maintained for production runs.
  • Complete machine performance checklists and follow all safety procedures.

About You

Essential:

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience setting and operating CNC machinery.
  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts or a permanent night shift pattern.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.

Desirable:

  • Experience carrying out machine performance and quality checks.
  • Knowledge of precision engineering or CNC manufacturing processes.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development.
