Shifts: Alternating shifts – 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting production through both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring machinery and equipment operate at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns efficiently
  • Diagnose faults and conduct repairs on plant and machinery
  • Install, commission, and support new and existing equipment
  • Support continuous improvement, identifying and resolving repeat issues
  • Maintain accurate electronic maintenance records and stock information
  • Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
  • Assist with machinery moves and site improvements
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, including risk assessments
  • Support TPM initiatives across the site
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and contractors
  • Provide guidance to apprentices or new starters where required

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:
  • A completed Maintenance Apprenticeship or relevant qualifications
  • Experience working with CNC machinery
  • Strong fault-finding skills, ideally with Fanuc control systems and PLCs
  • Understanding of risk assessments and safe working practices
  • Good IT and communication skills
  • A proactive, team-focused approach
Desirable:
  • IOSH certification
  • Specific machine tool knowledge
  • Leadership or mentoring experience

  • Rotating shifts:
    • 06:00 – 14:00
    • 14:00 – 22:00
