Retail Analyst

Job Location: Plymouth, Devon

Salary: £11.41 - £12.90 per hour

Due to our Clients expansion plans and their continuous success, we are looking for a Retail Analyst to join the team at their Head Office in Plymouth.

As a Retail Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in our organization, utilizing your creativity, innovation, and proactive problem-solving skills to aid in the development, implementation, and maintenance of strategies aligned with our company’s objectives. You will report to the Margin Protection Manager and will receive comprehensive training for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to the successful implementation of store optimization changes and initiatives.
  2. Offer data-driven recommendations on both top-performing and underperforming products.
  3. Deliver insightful analyses to senior management, complete with recommended actions aimed at enhancing profitability.
  4. Collaborate with the buying, supply chain, and retail teams to prioritize their specific data requirements.
  5. Provide weekly reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) in your designated area, ensuring timely communication with senior management.
  6. Support other departments by fulfilling data requests and offering analytical assistance.
  7. Maintain store turnover, profit, and margin in alignment with company objectives.
  8. Aid in the validation of companywide project proposals and business cases involving significant expenditure.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. UK degree or relevant UK experience in a similar role.
  2. Proficient communication skills at all levels, whether through email, face-to-face interactions, or telephone communication.
  3. The ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
  4. Comfort with data analysis and the use of tools to extract valuable insights and feedback.
  5. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is advantageous but not required.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  7. Effective documentation of procedures, processes, and results.
  8. Demonstrable commercial awareness.
  9. A self-starter who is highly motivated and enthusiastic about their work.
  10. Willingness to acquire new skills.

Type: Temporary to Permanent, Full-time

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:45 am – 5:30 pm
